The Aisling Project is an after school initiative in the Ballymun area for children deemed at risk. It provides homework supervision, a hot meal and after school activities to help in the child’s development. The Aisling also provides a safe place for these children and works individually with each child to ensure their developmental needs are being met.
The BRS has teamed up with the Aisling Project to bring science to the children of Ballymun. Wednesday 5th July saw members of the BRS carry out a number of interesting science experiments with the kids of the Aisling centre. Both the children and the Aisling organisers were really excited and enthusiastic about the experiments and are very keen for more of these events in the future. Therefore, the BRS will be looking to organise a number of these events this coming year.
The BRS are very excited to continue this partnership with the Aisling Project and are keen to take on volunteers to get involved with the next interaction. If you are interested please contact us at [email protected] and we will be in touch with full details.
